I’m Russell, a painter from Portland, Oregon.  I work primarily in the abstract, focusing on intricate linework, geometry, and obsessive crosshatching.  Art is how I process the chaos of life and attempt to create order. I have returned to creating physical art in 2025 after nearly 20 years of not touching a canvas.  To pay the bills, I work as a graphic designer and communications staffer for a federation of labor unions.
